What is the Adferiad | Recovery programme

Designed for Public Health Wales, Adferiad | Recovery is a dedicated support service for those impacted by COVID-19. It aims to create a safe and supported journey to recovery with the help of research and department collaboration.

The message

Everyone’s recovery journey looks different and may need different types of support. It could be scary and uncomfortable, especially when facing something as novel as COVID-19. This is why the Recovery brand focuses on a reassuring tone and clear, personal approach - we are here to support you.

Caring and human-first service

The brand is supported by an array of hand-drawn illustrations which assist the patients in understanding their symptoms and procedures they may need to undertake. These were of particular importance when designing for young patients where I aimed to deliver an accurate but still comforting tone.

A clear pathway

The brand was supported by a huge amount of printed and digital materials for clinicians, showcasing the correct referral pathways and aims and objectives of the service, as well as patient workbooks and procedural anxiety leaflets. All required us to collaborate with medical professionals in order to understand the specifics and create clear, accessible and accurate sources of information.
